We have to say that Sadie is one of those cats that are just a pleasure to own. We have never seen her hiss or growl so she certainly lives up to her name 'Sweet Sadie'. She runs to the door to greet you and loves to chase you down the hall. She is not a lap cat but likes to sit next to you. If you nod off she will crawl up your chest and nibble at your chin to wake you up. Right from the day she was born it was evident what a wonderful broad birman head she had and she truly is a cat of substance. She has bred some wonderful kittens over the years, including two of our studs, Saxon and Merlin, and two of our girls Sheena and Butters!

Togs is an endearing character, she loves everyone and absolutely loved going to cat shows! We initially used to call her 'Cossie', but her quirky little nature and her never say die attitude did not fit with the name Cossie and so she just one day became known as Togs. She was the only kitten her mother Daphne gave birth to and right from day one she more or less had to fend for herself as her mothers’ nonchalant attitude toward her catered for the bare necessities. Even then we had to bottle feed her to help her along. On top of that we had 3 very well grown kittens in the house that constantly pummelled her, but that never phased her she kept coming back for more and really kept up with the kittens more than twice her size! So from this rough start has emerged the most bomb proof gutsy cat. She has the most glamorous coat in winter and has always had the most intense point colour something that is becoming a rarity in many birman lines today. She has proven to be a dedicated and proficient mother to date, birthing and rearing her litters with minimal assistance.

Sheena is a very old type Birman, a definite throw back to some of the old lines in her pedigree on both sides. She is a deceptively heavy girl of considerable substance. Like her mother Sadie she is an amicable girl and loves to sit on a spare lap. She has very dark and even blue point colouring a trait we hope to mingle with our chocolate breeding. She has proven to be an excellent mother, raising the fattest stockiest kittens.

Butters never seems to stop purring and is always flopping on her back at your feet begging for a tummy rub. Butters is not the biggest girl, yet she is compact and deceptively heavy. She has great breadth to her head, a beautiful profile and really interesting colouring - her tail is the colour of burnt butter hence her name. She has some excellent chocolate breeding on her fathers’ side and her warmth of point colour seems to have translated in the production of some evenly toned and well coloured chocolate and lilac kittens in first litter. We look forward to her future litters, in the meantime she is just great to have around.

Holly is such a charming quirky little character to have around. She loves attention and in her little chirrup miaow can convey her intentions to any human present. Although carrying the Zaeshinwa prefix Holly is still a complete outcross for us here at Zaeshinwa and will play a part in our chocolate and seal breeding program. She is not a large girl but she has good proportions and density, and a lovely plume like tail. She has the most amazing profile and lovely strong chin but like many chocolates is taking her time to mature. She is a real mix of some interesting chocolate/seal breeding and we look forward to seeing what she can produce.
