NSW Champion Zaeshinwa Saxon Star – "Saxon"

(Homozygous Seal Tabby Point carries dilute )

saxon

Sire: GOLD DOUBLE GRAND CHAMPION ZAESHINWA ZIGGY STAR (Blue Tabby Point)
Dam: NSW GOLD DOUBLE GRAND CHAMPION & ACT CHAMPION ZAESHINWA SWEET SADIE (Seal Tortie Tabby Point)
DOB: 15/12/04

Since Saxon was a kitten it was evident that he inherited his mother Sadie’s temperament. He is such a goof ball and loves nothing more than a hug, scratch and cuddle whenever we go out into the cattery or when he is out roaming our garden. He loves playing chase and galavanting around with whichever girls are out getting some exercise. He is a favourite of all who visit us not only due to his impressive bulk and size but the fact that he comes running from wherever he is in the yard to be the first in for attention. He is such an unbelievably gentle cat we have never seen him hiss or even get grumpy at anyone!
We are really thrilled with how Saxon has developed, he is truly a dense bodied cat of substance, those who have seen him at shows attest to this, one would be hard pressed to find a bigger Birman stud currently. He possesses a beautiful roman nose and strong chin, with broad top of head and a good muzzle. In winter he possesses the most amazing lion like ruff and his coat is like cotton wool. On top of all this his tabby barring is the most distinct we have ever seen, even to his tail tip! Due to our busy work comittments and previous location we have not been able to show Saxon very much, however in 2006 he was awarded the Birman club of Australasia Male Birman of the year - an award we were proud to receive.
Unfortunately Saxon is a homozygous tabby and it limits his use here at Zaeshinwa as ALL his kittens can only be tabby points. However his impressive size, temperament and type are so valuable to us that he will stay on here siring a small number of kittens each year. We are fortunate he is content with his life and does not mind only one or two girls a year if that! He also represent many generations of Zaeshinwa breeding with his grandmother on his paternal side the first cat we bred and kept for ourselves.

Kasario Rusticana – "Rusty"

(Heterozygous Chocolate Tabby Point carries dilute)

Rusty

Sire: RAKESHA WOVEN THREADS (Seal Tabby Point)
Dam: NZ CH KASARIO OUR JASS BELLEZZA (Lilac Point)
DOB: 14/11/06

Rusty came to us from Kasario Birmans New Zealand, many thanks must go to Cheryl & Bill Davies-Crook for entrusting their much loved house raised pet to come and live with us as our stud. Rusty has already had great succcess on the show bench in New Zealand and little wonder as evidenced by his type and coat. He continues to do well on the show bench in Australia. This boy truly is an asset to our cattery and we are thrilled he is here. He too is an extremely dense bodied cat, deceptively heavy and well boned, he has this dense plush coat that sits out like cotton wool. His profile and strength of chin is to die for and that muzzle! Being a heterozygous chocolate tabby carrying dilute Rusty can basically sire any colour possible registerable within the Birman breed. So is it any wonder why we are so excited to have him!

Zaeshinwa Merlin Rouge – "Merlin"

(Heterozygous Red Tabby Point carries dilute and chocolate)

Merlin

Sire: SHAKANDAH RICH ‘N FAMOUS
Dam: NSW GOLD DOUBLE GRAND CHAMPION & ACT CHAMPION ZAESHINWA SWEET SADIE (Seal Tortie Tabby Point)
DOB: 07/03/08

Merlin came along as a complete surprise, but when surprises are this good you just have to make room for them and let them stay! He came from an unexpected union as our young stud at the time was not yet mature enough to mate with Sadie. We were in a bind and a good friend of ours was generous enough to help us out, and look what we got!!
Jason had long since wanted a red male and from the day he was born this fella stole his heart. He was nearly twice the size of his littermates and his boning was evident right from birth. As he has grown he has continued to be impressive in size, his eye colour is good and his profile and chin excellent! For a red point his markings are clearly discernable and he is show marked and already possesses that lovely Birman ruff we are so fond of. As a red tabby point carrying chocolate and dilute he too really is a stud that can sire ANY colour. He has size on both sides of his breeding and we look forward to watching him as he matures. In the meantime we are enjoying his gentle disposition and are dreading the day he has to go and live permanently outside in the cattery as a mature stud.
